الحجم: 95 * 65 سم
هي قبة صغيرة يعود بناؤها للقرن 10 هـ / 16م، ترتكز على ستة أعمدة رخامية فوقها ستة عقود حجرية مدببة تشكل قاعدة دائرية من الداخل وشكلها مسدس من الخارج وفي داخلها بلاطة حمراء على شكل محراب باتجاه القبلة.
قد بنيت القبة فوق صحن قبة الصخرة المشرفة في المكان الذي يعتقد أن سيدنا الخضر (عليه السلام) ــ والذي ذكرت قصته مع نبي الله موسى عليه السلام في سورة الكهف (الآيات 65 - 82) ــ كان يعتكف للصلاة والذكر.
Al-Khadr’s Dome (Ottoman Era)
This small hexagonal dome was built in the 10th Century AH/16th Century AD on the Dome of the Rock plateau, next to the northwestern arched gate, to mark the spot where Muslims believe a righteous man, Al-Khad (PBUH), who is mentioned in verses 65-82 of Chapter (“Al-Kahf”) of the Noble Qu’ran, used to pray to Allah. The dome is based on six marble columns and includes a nich built with red stone inside.
